Advanced Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Netio PowerPDU 8QS: 8x IEC-320 C13

The NETIO PowerPDU 8QS is a Power Distribution Unit with eight power sockets (8x IEC-320 C13) that can be controlled and monitored over LAN. This device fits perfectly into 19-inch rack cabinets (1U).

Each power socket can be independently switched on and off. The PowerPDU 8QS supports two channels for electrical measurements: the PDU as a whole (all sockets combined) and the first socket individually (all sockets + 1). The digital input (DI) can be used for socket control or for S0 pulse counting (electricity meter output).

 

Additional Features of PowerPDU 8QS

The NETIO PowerPDU 8QS can be configured via a web browser (enabling socket control, connection to the NETIO Cloud service, Open API communication settings, etc.).

Integration with third-party systems via various protocols (JSON, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT-flex, Telnet, etc.) is made easy with Open API. Ready-made AV drivers facilitate connection of the NETIO PDU device to professional Audio/Video systems such as Neets, Crestron, Control4, RTI, Savant, and others.

With the NETIO Cloud service, sockets can be controlled from anywhere. The NETIO Cloud service, available for a fee, uses SSL security and servers in Europe.

The NETIO Mobile2 mobile application allows individual control of each socket on the LAN (local network).

To turn on sockets in a specific sequence, delay can be configured for each socket.

Open API Support: Supported M2M Protocols

One Open API protocol can be used at a time, and you can choose from the following supported M2M protocols:

  • Modbus/TCP (AN27, AN22, AN37)
  • JSON over HTTP (AN21, AN30, AN42)

Regardless of the chosen Open API protocol, the PowerPDU 8QS can always be controlled via its web interface and the NETIO Cloud service. A customer can simultaneously use the NETIO Cloud service and one Open API protocol.

  • Energy saving in conference rooms (scheduler turns equipment on and off at specified times).
  • Power control (TVs, audio systems, lighting) from various AV systems in shops, smart homes, museums, digital signage management applications, etc.
  • Outputs of multiple NETIO products can be controlled via the NETIO Mobile 2 application, as long as the application is connected to the same network.
  • Multiple device outputs can be centrally controlled via the NETIO Cloud service (for a fee).

Electrical Measurements

The NETIO PowerPDU 8QS measures electrical parameters - both at the device input as a whole (all sockets) and at the first socket (socket 1). Measurement values are displayed in the administrative interface accessible via a web browser and are available through Open API protocols. The NETIO PowerPDU 8QS measures with an accuracy better than 1%.

Digital Input (DI)

The digital input (DI) can be used for socket control or for S0 pulse counting. DI can be connected to a button (dry contact) or used as an S0 pulse counter to read electricity consumption from an external electricity meter.

DI state and S0 counter value are displayed in the web interface and available through Open API protocols.

NETIO Cloud Service

  • The product can be connected to the NETIO Cloud service. Control 100 outputs from one web screen!
  • The NETIO Cloud is the perfect solution for remote control and rebooting. It is accessible via any web browser: NETIO Cloud
  • The NETIO Cloud service is available for a fee and supports NETIO products.
  • All devices produced by NETIO Products can be connected to the NETIO Cloud service.
  • With the included "Welcome credit," the service can be used for free for the first 3 years.
  • Devices connected to the service can be securely controlled from anywhere via the Internet (HTTPS).
  • The NETIO Cloud service can be used concurrently with most other Open API protocols.
  • Communication with the Cloud service is secure (port 8883 - MQTTs - TLS).
  • The NETIO Cloud service uses a separate Open API protocol (MQTTS protocol) to control all devices connected to a user's account.

Mobile Application

This device can be controlled using the NETIO Mobile 2 mobile application (available on Android and iOS).

Cloud: A user account in the NETIO Cloud service can be connected to the mobile application.

With the mobile application, you can:

  • Control individual power outputs - turn on, turn off, RESET
  • Read energy consumption data (A, W, Wh), if one of the outputs (device) supports energy measurement
  • Activate/deactivate Scheduler function (read-only)
  • Sort outputs into groups (by function or location)
  • Group control - Turn all outputs in a group on/off
  • Group control - Activate/deactivate Scheduler function on each output in a group
  • Change output/device name (visible only in the mobile application)
  • Add multiple devices to the mobile application
  • LAN Discovery: Search for NETIO devices in the LAN/Wifi network.
