Water leak and flood monitoring
Water leak and flood monitoring: an alarm before the damage grows
A single leak can start out of sight. We match spot or cable sensors and a LAN or BMS controller to the zones you want to protect — from a single point to an entire pipe run.

Where a leak should be detected immediately
Spot sensor or sensing cable?
Choose a spot sensor where the point of risk is known: next to a unit, at a drain or at the lowest point. A sensing cable works best along a pipeline, under a row of units or around a larger perimeter.
Before you buy, define the medium, the number of zones and how the alarm should be passed on. That decides whether you need a single sensor, a detection cable, a LAN controller or BMS integration.
How to deploy leak monitoring
Mark the zones — tell us the number of rooms, the length of pipe runs and the places where a leak is likely to appear first.
Choose the detection — spot or cable, wired or wireless, with a LAN or BMS controller to suit the layout of the site.
Test the response — agree who receives the alarm and the procedure: who checks the zone, shuts off the supply and confirms the cause has been removed.

FAQ: flood and leak detection
Which leak sensor should I choose: spot or cable?
Choose a spot sensor for a single, known point of risk. A sensing cable covers a longer run or a larger zone where the location of a leak can't be predicted.
Where should a flood sensor be installed?
At the lowest point of the protected zone and as close to the source of risk as possible. With several potential sources, consider several points or a detection cable along the whole run.
Can leak monitoring work wirelessly?
Yes — a proven example is the wireless LR590 LoRaWAN, which detects flooding and also measures temperature and humidity. The choice of connectivity depends on the range and the infrastructure of the site.
How do I connect flood sensors to LAN or BMS?
The category has separate groups of LAN and BMS main units and controllers. For a quote, tell us the type of your existing system, the number of zones and how the alarm must be passed on.
How many sensors does one site need?
It's not the floor area that counts, but the number of independent zones and sources of risk. Send us a floor plan or a list of rooms; we'll select the points, cable lengths and the main unit.
Not sure what to choose?
Describe your site in 3 sentences — number of rooms, points of risk and the network available. We'll select the system and send a quote within 24 hours on business days.
