USB desktop RFID card and tag reader — USB Desk

The RFID USB Desk reader is a small desktop module powered directly from the USB port. It is designed to read RFID tags, and its configuration software lets you freely customize the codes read from the tags.

Benefits

• Code Format: The configuration program lets you set a Prefix and Postfix for the code that is read. Available code formats include binary, hexadecimal with lowercase or uppercase letters, and decimal.

• Code Extension: Setting a Prefix or Postfix lets you display different character strings after a tag is read.

• Code Modifications: The reader lets you apply custom modifications to the received code, such as bit negation, bit or byte swapping, defining the tag length, length padding and automatic length matching.

• Reading Speed: The reader has a Read Delay option that lets you control the time after which the next transponder can be read. You can adjust this option to your needs.

Easy Integration

RFID USB Desk series readers can be easily integrated with your own software using CDC mode (virtual serial port), which gives you full control over the device. When a transponder is placed on the reader, the data is automatically sent to the serial port. You can respond to the codes read by activating the LED or the built-in sound generator, which makes it possible to create custom applications that respond to different RFID tags.
