Server room starter kit — four threats, SMS from the cloud and Zabbix on your own server

Our most frequently ordered entry-level server room set: temperature, humidity, water leak and smoke in a single data logger. Plus both channels customers ask about in quotes — SMS notifications from the CE MonitorApp cloud and a CE MonitorApp OnPrem license with Zabbix templates for installation on your own server.

The kit covers one server room or one to two rack cabinets. It requires no additional hardware for sending SMS messages — the SMS package is part of the cloud, so you don't add a modem or a SIM card.

Four parameters that actually cause failures

Temperature and humidity are the basics, but real losses are most often caused by two things outside that pair: water from a burst pipe or an air conditioner, and smoke from a power supply. That is why the kit includes all four sensors, not just a thermometer with a hygrometer.

SMS from the cloud — no modem and no SIM card

A package of 50 SMS per month for 12 months is included in the kit price. Notifications are sent from the CE MonitorApp cloud, so you don't buy a separate GSM gateway, set up a SIM card or maintain yet another device in the cabinet.

E-mail alarms work in parallel and independently — the data logger sends them directly via your SMTP server, even when you are not using the cloud.

Zabbix and CE MonitorApp OnPrem — a full local installation included

A CE MonitorApp OnPrem license with Zabbix 7.0 LTS templates is part of the kit. This answers a requirement that appears explicitly in tenders: installation on the purchaser's server, local administration, data never leaves the network.

You import the templates into Zabbix and get ready-made items, thresholds and triggers — without writing your own JSON parser, which is usually necessary with environmental data loggers, because official plugins either don't exist or are outdated.

Two paths in one kit

The cloud gives you access from outside the local network, SMS messages and history without your own server. OnPrem gives you full control and compliance with a no-external-services requirement. You get both options at once, so you don't have to come back for a second quote when the IT department or the specification changes its mind mid-project.

You can also work in hybrid mode: local monitoring in Zabbix plus the cloud solely as a notification channel and for external access.
