PoE server room monitoring — one cable, zero power supplies in the cabinet
A kit for server rooms with PoE infrastructure. The EnviSensor ETH PoE data logger draws power and transmits data over a single cable from the switch — you don't use up a PDU socket or space for a plug-in power supply, which tends to be the first thing to fail anyway.
Two probes monitor temperature at two points in the cabinet (bottom/top or cold/hot aisle), and a sensor detects flooding. The alarm is sent by e-mail or via SNMP to your system.
An air conditioning failure at night can raise the cabinet temperature by 1°C per minute — the kit warns you before the equipment shuts down thermally. Available with thresholds configured before shipping and viewing in CE MonitorApp.
