PowerPDU 8KS — 8x IEC-320 C13 power strip for a 19" rack cabinet with energy metering
PowerPDU 8KS is a power strip (PDU) with 8 IEC-320 C13 sockets, each individually metered and switched. The device fits in a 19" rack cabinet as 1U, and the green DI terminal lets you connect a NETIO T1 temperature sensor and enable the thermostat function. This variant does not include a mains power cable — you connect it with your own cable with an IEC-320 C20 plug.
You meter each of the 8 outputs separately (current, power, energy, power factor) and control it via WEB, the NETIO Mobile 2 app, the NETIO Cloud or Open API. ZCS (Zero Current Switching) protects connected equipment with high inrush current.
Key parameters
- Outputs: 8x IEC-320 C13 (max 10A/output)
- Input: 1x IEC-320 C20, 110/230V (max 16A)
- Energy metering: Yes, 8 channels (A, kWh, W, TPF, Hz, V)
- Network: LAN (RJ45)
- Mounting: Rack 19" (1U)
- Dimensions: 439 x 41 x 90 mm
- Switching: ZCS (Zero Current Switching)
- Digital input (DI): 1x DI (dry contact / T1 temperature sensor)
- API: JSON, MQTT-flex, SNMP v1/v3, Modbus/TCP, XML, URL API, Telnet
- Cloud: NETIO Cloud (paid, free welcome credit)
- Warranty: 6 years
Basic features:
- 8 metered IEC-320 C13 outputs: full per-socket energy metering (A, W, kWh, TPF, Hz, V).
- Thermostat function: with the NETIO T1 sensor, automatically turns on cooling when overheating occurs.
- Remote control: WEB, mobile app, NETIO Cloud or Open API.
- Scheduler: automatic on/off by day and time.
- AV drivers: integration with Crestron, Control4, BrightSign and other systems.
- 1U mounting in a 19" cabinet: saves space in the rack.
Applications
PowerPDU 8KS is well suited for load balancing thanks to per-output energy metering, power distribution in a server rack and high-temperature alerting with the T1 sensor. Standard IEC-320 C13 sockets are the typical choice for servers, switches and other IT equipment powered by cables with a C14 plug.
