EnviSensor WiFi Battery — wireless, battery-powered temperature and humidity data logger

EnviSensor WiFi Battery is a self-contained measuring device designed for distributed environmental monitoring across many sites at once. It requires no mains power and no central hub — it connects directly to a local WiFi router or Access Point (2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) and sends data exclusively to the CE MonitorApp cloud application.

Power and operating time

The device is powered by 3 rechargeable AA batteries that are easy to replace — you can also use standard 1.5 V AA batteries or connect external power via the micro USB port, e.g. from a power bank. Operating time on a single charge is up to 62 days, depending on ambient conditions, battery condition, the set interval and WiFi connection stability.

How measurement and data transmission work

EnviSensor WiFi Battery measures temperature and humidity every 10 minutes and then goes into sleep mode to save energy. After each measurement, the device connects to the WiFi network and sends the data directly to CE MonitorApp — as an HTTPS POST request encrypted with TLS v1.2. Communication is one-way, and the transmitted data includes only the unique device ID, the measurement result and the battery charge level — no sensitive data whatsoever. The temperature and humidity sensor can be detached from the base without dismounting the device.

CE MonitorApp cloud application

Data from all devices goes to CE MonitorApp — an application designed to handle thousands of data loggers in real time, with access for multiple users from anywhere in the world (browser or Android mobile app). The application keeps a continuous measurement history and performs round-the-clock (24/7) alarm detection — when defined thresholds are exceeded, users are notified visually in the app, by e-mail, SMS and push.

Dedicated infrastructure

The platform is hosted on Microsoft Azure (cloud region in Warsaw). For deployments requiring full data separation, a dedicated application instance can be set up together with a separate Microsoft SQL Server database (hardware encryption) and a dedicated domain — completely isolated from the main platform.
